Fazio's Pizzeria is the vision and creation of Santo Fazio. In his 20s, Santo traveled extensively in Italy immersing himself in Italian culture and cuisine. Ultimately, he was drawn to his ancestral roots in Sicily, specifically Palermo and Messina. It was here that Santo's passion for pizza took hold. When he returned to NY he became the pizza chef for Two Boots restaurant. He would go on to open his own Italian restaurant (Three of Cups) in the East Village, and consult for numerous restaurants around the country. 

The desire to bring simple, yet authentic, Sicilian "Street Food" to Bushwick is what inspired Fazio's. Mr. Fazio wanted to bring back the Sicilian delights he had experienced growing up in the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx.  He approached it with a Field of Dreams mentality "Build it, and they will come!" He was right. Since his opening, the community has welcomed him with open arms, but their greatest compliments often begin with "This pizza reminds me of (insert your favorite place from childhood or youth)
For Santo, it was the culmination of a dream to create the Sicilian and Neopolitain pizza he had grown up on.
